High demand for solar PV panel systems
Hestia attended this year’s
CLA Game Fair, which was held at
Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire, Friday 22 July
- Sunday 24 July. Demand for solar PV panel installations was high, particularly in the residential sector.
With temperatures soaring Blenheim was buzzing as a near record crowd of 148,500 people flocked into
The CLA Game Fair at Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire, over the course of the weekend. The figure is the
second highest attendance at The Game Fair in its 53-year history – beaten only by the 50thanniversary
Game Fair also held at Blenheim in 2008.
As
the World's Leading Country Sport Event, the show hosts all aspects of countryside activities and
interests. This year a dedicated renewable section has been added to the Land Management area, which
was of interest to anyone who lives and works in the countryside. Renewable technologies are becoming
more popular as more incentives become available, and the issue of carbon
reduction is further putting the spotlight on renewable energy. Solar PV is an alternative resource for farmers
and landowners to maximise the return from their land.
Attendees were interested in both residential and commercial solar PV installations and wanted to learn
more about the benefits of installing solar panels and how to make best use of the Feed in Tariff (FiT) which
currently offers very attractive rates of tax-free return, and inflation linked payments.
