June 2011
Farmers and landowners have demand for solar PV
The 2011
Staffordshire County Show has been another
fantastic family event featuring spectacular main
ring events and more trade stands than ever before. This year's event took place in the
Staffordshire
Showground on 1st and 2nd June and attracted around 72,000 visitors.
Hestia attended the show with a stand in the dedicated renewable section of the show to provide
farmers
and landowners with valuable information on the financial and technical aspects of a solar PV installation.
Attendees were interested in both domestic and commercial solar PV installations and wanted to learn
more about the benefits of installing solar PV and how to make best use of the Feed in Tariff (FiT) which
currently offers very attractive rates of return, tax-free income and RPI linked returns.
Renewable technologies are becoming more and more popular as incentives become available, and
the ever topical issue of carbon reduction is further putting the spotlight on sustainability. Solar PV is an
alternative resource for farmers and landowners to maximise the return from their land.
Operating since 1993, Hestia is one of the most established
renewable energy firms in the UK. For further information please contact Hestia on
