Hestia is committed to practical action for a sustainable energy future

Hestia delivers managed services and technical solutions for our public sector clients. Our mission is to work with these clients to stimulate further practical action on energy efficiency and climate change. We believe that the key to our future success lies in technical innovation, the skills and experience of our team and our 'can do' attitude towards our clients.

Hestia OldburyHestia has been a private limited company since 1994 and our business has been built on a successful relationship with the Energy Saving Trust that has endured for over 12 years. Hestia started its business in the West Midlands and expanded into the East Midlands in 2008.

In 1996 Hestia developed SAP energy rating software and became one of only four UK firms with Defra Approved status. Following the successful establishment of these services with local authorities, particularly providing energy ratings for stock condition surveys, this area of our business was merged with the NHER scheme operated by National Energy Services.

In 2000 the company won a contract to provide document processing for 'Home Energy Checks' - customer completed questionnaires that are used as the basis for the provision of impartial advice to consumers by the network of Energy Efficiency Advice Centres (EEACs).

Hestia was a finalist in the 2006 UK Energy Efficiency Awards held at the London Science Museum in the Research & Development (R&D) category for our online energy project management database system DomiData.

The start of 2007 saw the company launch a groundbreaking new independent consumer advice service at growyourownenergy.co.uk that provides information on the cost-effectiveness of micro generation technologies.

In 2007, Hestia won an OJEC tender extending scanning services to the entire network of 52 EEACs across the UK. This service now extends to include the new Energy Saving Trust advice centres that will deliver the Prime Minister's vision for a Green Home Service.SC

ACOn 1 September 2008, the four Energy Efficiency Advice Centres (EEACs) in the West Midlands and the three EEACs in the East Midlands region were replaced by one Energy Saving Trust advice centre for each region. The two new advice centres are managed by Hestia on behalf of the Energy Saving Trust. The Energy Saving Trust advice centres will offer householders independent customer-led advice on waste, water and transport as well as energy, to enable householders to easily take up sustainable energy products and services to promote a low carbon lifestyle and help save money on fuel bills.

At the end of 2008, Hestia's East Midlands based staff moved into new refurbished offices in Granby House in Friar Lane in the city centre of Nottingham. Hestia chose this location in order to be centrally based within the East Midlands region, after securing the Energy Saving Trust contract to provide a regional advice centre serving the public. Hestia also offers it's well established Fuel Poverty Advisory Service in Nottingham using experienced consultancy staff to help clients undertake practical action to alleviate fuel poverty.Office Nottingham
